The axle ratio for both the M41 (aka M54) series and the M54A1 series is
6.443:1.00 (Timken FM240HX1 front, M240HX4 rear), except for the Honest John
launcher variant of the M139, which was 10.26:1.00.
However, you are correct the original Spicer 6352 direct drive unit was
replaced with the 6453 overdrive in the M54A1 Mack powered truck.
Not a lot of work (compared to other parts of conversion), just more$$$$!
