Hi List, I have a friend that has a cucv that starts hard after he washed the
engine. the glow plug light comes on in the morning and starts OK. when the
engine is warm and shut off for a few minutes or even up to a half hour it
starts very hard. the glow plug light goes on for only a few seconds. the
ironic part of all this is if he depresses the gas pedal one time before
turning on=ver the engine it starts much faster.
last question is, is the fuel filter or water separator (Not sure) available
at a GM dealer or is this a military (special) filter. Any help from the
experienced will be appreciated.
