Esteemed Listees:

Thanks for the responses to my truck hunting posts, but it looks like
the guy who was going to buy my truck has backed out as I haven't heard
from him all week, such is life, I didn't want to sell it anyway, It's
my perfect desert cruiser.

She's a 68, M52A2 w/wn that I took all the tractor stuff off and gave
to a friend, except the spare tire carrier, then I bought a nonworking
dump bed that resembled a cargo bed had some friends do a little welding
on it to dress it up, added a deuce/5-ton tailgate, troop seats and
bows, and bingo a short-bed 5-ton.

Why? Because the short wheel base is harder to high center and easier
to negotiate through tight turns, and it can carry all our gear for a
3-5 day stay out in the desert, the trade off is a slightly bumpier ride
due to the shorter wheelbase, oh well, I'll just deal with it, there
ain't no free lunches, Some time in the future I may think about putting
the 900 series 1400x20 super singles on her (or a civilian equivalent)

Anyway, again thanks for the responses, sorry I couldn't buy a new toy,
but on the other hand, I'm glad I didn't have to but a new toy. Know
what I mean?

 Thanks alot - Tom Kelly
