I happened to call Mr. Bill Davies at the California Military Museum in
Sacramento, CA.,
today.
He's been trying to reach me! Says he found
a period photo of my truck (he thinks), but that was BEFORE the WTC
tragedies and can't remember right now where he put it!
A period photo of MY truck (not one like it, but
MINE) would give me the verification I've been
trying to get for THREE YEARS!
Also would help with restoration...
I'll let the list know as soon as I find out either way.
If you think about it, a period picture in the context of CALIFORNIA
military history has a good chance of being mine. If it's in the
greater WWII context-not very good.
