Technically they do not meet, they are totally different curves, you can say
that they may cross at certain points but thats because you are
graphing/plotting them in the same space (overlaying them), it's not really
relevant to anything. For example if you plotted lb-ft of torque and HP on
the Y and RPM on the X then try plotting lb-ft and ft-lb/s ( 1HP = 550
ft-lb/s) v.s. RPM or switch to metric and plot the same curve in N-M and KW
v.s. RPM. They are all going to have the same basic shape but crossing
points and vertical positions will be all different

Mine seems to be comfortable at 50mph on the level, whatever that RPM is, I
don't recall.

My engine runs about 890 deg F and 11 psi of boost pressure running wide
open on the level at almost 60 mph. If your going to start looking at this
stuff then you really aught to be looking at both exhaust temp and boost
pressure.
