Esteemed listers,
It seems that I will be moving inro a VERY rural
area shortly & find myself in the hunt for backup power should the need
arise. I recently attended a local Gov. surplus auction (for MV reasons,but
didnt buy anything) and saw a row of 10-15 "gensets". These were 2ft x 4ft x
4ft tall (very approximate) and they all seemed to be in nice shape. My
question is should I consider a Mil genset for cost or durability reasons &
what are these going for? (versus the typical commercial new stuff). I didnt
stick around to watch the gen sale prices.
I also assume these would be PLENTY to run a home & shop.
