If you want to go with a nice compact and quiet gen-set, get a Honda, though
they are expensive. I bought a single cylinder, though kind of loud, 5K from
Central Tractor. Put in my garage and ran the exhaust through the wall. It's
about 100' from my house, so the noise doesn't bother me. I can run my water
pump, boiler, refrigerator and some lights and receptacles. Doesn't do the
whole house,
but it keeps us comfortable during power outages. It would fit right in your
trailer and
has its own gas tank. 3K or 5K depends on how much power you need. There's a
formula in the handbooks that explains how to add up what you need.
