Thanks to everyone for identifying the gun sight question I had earlier....

Passed up on it... Sherman gun sight not much use to me... currently looking
for WW2 British and American Artillery Gun Sights

Now been offered another - "Telescope/Bearing No 8, MK1, 1943" - I'm
presuming from this description it is of British origin... it has been
described as being about 10in x 4in... presumably for a field gun, tank or
perhaps range finding system.

I would appreciate it if anyone can let me know what this one is.

Also recall someone mentioning there was an Artillery enthusiasts mailing
list around somewhere - anyone know where ?
