Just painted hood & fenders on my Deuce which were 90% rust. Wire brushed
by hand then applied "XO-Rust" 'sand' color to match my 'new' camo hardtop
(thanx Gene!). The paint went on easily with an inch-and-a-half brush
using short strokes constantly changing direction. Two days later the
paint is rock hard and so smooth you can only see brush strokes where
original paint is underneath. These areas would have been good to do a
camo second coat, brown or grey, the day after while the paint was still
soft. I'll have to wait for another warm day to arrive here.

XO-Rust is available in quarts from hardware stores that do not carry
Rustoleum-brand, since they are competitors. However XO-Rust can be used
down to 40 degrees Farenheit rather than the usual 50 degrees. This is a
big deal for me as this extends the painting season quite a bit, and may
be the reason my brush-on job flowed so well even though it was
approaching the 40's just as I was finishing up.

Sure, it ain't a blast & spray job but it is hard to tell.
