List,
A long time friend of mine was doing a complete off-frame restoration to an
early
M37. The whole unit has been sand blasted and painted. Assembly is not
complete.
The right side door (a replacement) must be painted and installed. There's no
tailgate. Most, if not all, of the wiring has been replaced with reproduction
new manufacture harnesses and individual wires. I know Brian spent a lot of
money on parts for it at Aberdeen and mail order, plus he bought some parts
from me. The cab top bows, cargo racks w/troop seats and cargo bows are on
it, but no canvas. I'm sure that he had it running, but I never got to hear
it. Brian, though a young man, had a heart attack and died. His sister and
brother-in-law now have the M37 and want to sell it.
I had posted it a while back at $4500. but they said that they'll accept
around $3200.
to $3300 for it, now. It has been kept under cover. In a garage at Brian's
and now in
a portable garage, plus it's covered with a tarp. I recall Brian being very
picky when
it came to the parts he bought and often asked for my advice. Some of the
wires are
not connected, but are there. It is a non-winch model.
The truck is located in Shiloh (southern) NJ, about a half hour from exit #2
NJ Turnpike; an hour from Philadelphia and about 26 minutes from the Delaware
Memorial Bridge (Re: I-295 into NJ near Wilmington, DE) and about 2-3/4 hours
from NYC area. I do not know if it has batteries; I did not try to start it.
If it does,
they're probably bad by now. I know the truck was running when he bought it,
plus he bought a non-running M37 from me for parts. Sorry, I don't have any
pics.
