It can be reasonably defined by driving the vehicle onto a weighbridge one axle
at a time to measure the axle weight, divide by two to obtain the wheel loading
and make a straight line graph with psi on one scale and weight on the other;
with 0lbs and 0psi at the origin and a point relating to 100psi/9700lb you can
read off the pressure required for your specific loading.

What they would be dropped too for off-road use is indeterminate though.
