I have one of the tapered 44" M2 barrels and it
measures....................1.310" just before the crown at the muzzle end
where it flares out......................1.590" just forward of the front
mount for the handguard. The muzzle end of the barrel is 1.50" diameter.
These dimensions are all outside O.D.
