hey-- long ago i was looking at a m-715, but someone up and bought it!! darn. so, i'm going with the next best thing. i am asking about a 2.5 ton 6x6, but need help on the identification... most of the ones that i saw in this yard (in tracy city, TN for anyone out there in Tn land) were what i assumed to be 2.5 ton trucks with cargo beds, but some had verry large PTO's on them and one even had a crane (5 ton???) i'm new to all of this, and i was looking for the rockwell axles. i thought i heard somewhere that the rockwells are much stronger than the GMC, and that the GMC axles were webbed on the bottom???? (all of this info is probably wrong, so PLEASE correct me!!) i am looking for the 5-spd trans that i thought came in most of these vehicles, but does anyone know what bellhousings will bolt up to this/engines to the stock bellhousings?? OR, could anyone recomend a page that has all of this info???
