Where and How Much for an M38A1 also 1" Impacts

Hi Again,

I was at a completely unrelated conference this weekend and struck up a
conversation with a lady about hobbies and I found that she is also
interested in MilVeh, trust me we are everywhere! Anyway she wondered
what an M38A1 was worth these days and where would one pick one up. It
seems that she has wanted one all her life but never bad enough to find
one, now she thinks she can afford it. I said I knew the right place to
ask that question, so if anybody can get me some information to pass
along, I will. This person will baby it. You should have seen how
spotless her car was.

Also after the mention of the 1" Impact I got a lot of questions about
it. My wife got it at Harbor Freight for 199.95 plus 49.95 for the
sockets (comes with a socket for the dual wheel lugs). With free
shipping (trust me that is good, it is heavy!). The quality is okay for
the hobbyist, but if I were Joe Young, I wouldn't want it. It will run
just fine off the truck air compressor; just don't be in too big of a
hurry to remove all of the lugs. (Meaning give the compressor a little
time to work.) It sure beats the daylights out of manually removing the
lugs or using a smaller impact.

Thanks a bunch.

Rick Roberts
