this might help if you don't think i am pulling your leg.years ago i read
a facinating book about a brittish stage magician named jasper
masklyne.he was able to get into the brittish army by proving his ideas
about camoflage to be usefull.he was the guy that hid alexandria harbor
at night and hid the suez canal from aircraft.anyway,he started out in
north africa with something smaller.the tank comander where he was
stationed asked him to get the tanks camoflaged with some sort of desert
color.after finding out the supply lines couldn't supply any apropriate
colors,he found his own source for coloring.this is where most of you
guys will not belive me.he ended up using camel dung as a base for some
sort of flat sand brown paint.when dry there was no odor and it had fair
wear preperties.tis was later replaced with proper paint but does show
how thinking outside the box may help.i can't remembr the title of the
book but maklyne was also involved with eacape and evasion equipment as
well.a facinating read.mike power
