Thanks for your help. It was the 7th Army 11th Cavalry stationed in
Grafenwoehr, Germany during the mid 70s. Anyone familiar with this unit.

7A would normally indicate the 7th Army. I was in the 1st, 3rd, and 5th
Armies, at one time or another, so I assume that the 7th Army probably
exists somewhere. For some reason, I seem to think that it would be on the
West coast, but I could be mistaken.

I found the following letters on the front of my M114 "7A 11CAV" it also had
the black horse emblem (red and white shield with black horse) can you help
me in identifing the unit? I know it's the 11th ARC but what is the 7A part
of it, I've seen markings like 7/11 CAV before but haven't seen the A.
