How to use Lug Wrench for M35

Hello, Folks -

I have to remove one of the rear wheels on my M35. It is on the driver's
side, so I finally figured out that the threads are left-handed. However, I
am not able to loosen any nuts with my 2-piece wrench.

I have been supporting the outboard end of the wrench on a jack stand, and
jumping on the end of the handle. The only thing my 275+ pounds has succeded
in doing is to bend the handle a little.

Am I doing something wrong, or are they just too tight? Also, Is a 3/4"
impact sufficient for these nuts, or would a 1" be a wiser choice?

Thanks,

Mark Ehle
