# 658
Lot Number: 7302
Bid Amount: $1,717.00 (example from Sharpe's in Ca.)

This example is located up at the Sierra Depot near Reno, Nv. Keep in mind this is early in the auction and it is still going up...probably it will go well over $2500 at this rate. This is pretty high for a 2.5 ton in my opinion. Unfortunately, it is not all that unusual for around here.

There is a lesson to be learned from my personal experience of bidding for over a year and half and getting bumped by high bids... California is traditionally way over the rest of the nation. Be prepared to bid $2000-2500 on average for a nice 2.5T. I say this knowing we actually had some fair priced deuces sold at Vandenberg recently (1400-1800 range), but just at a time when I couldn't get down there to inspect them! (Murphy's law) lol Recent bids on deuces that have beat me... $2600, $3600, $2400... just to give you an idea.

My advice is always inspect it first and in California be prepared to spend a lot more than elsewhere. Mid-west or SW prices seem consistently much better.

Well, I'm still high bid on one truck locally at Sharpe's... hanging like a hair in a biscuit, we'll see! lol

Good luck on your bidding...

Jack (in high priced N. California)
