If any of you decide to purchase an auto-darkening welding helmet,
be aware that the cheapo imported ones usually switch to dark in
about 1/25,000 of a second, while the better ones, much more
costly, change in 1/10,000 of a second. If you do a lot of welding,
especially stick, the cheaper helmets will give you a good dose
of eye flash. Been there, my eyes were glued shut for hours and
felt like somebody was rubbing sand in them.
