You are correct Bill, and the show with the jeep sounds good too.

Not to sound rude:

"how the U.S. Army turned the tide in ... the Pacific against ...
Japan"...????

Wasn't the Pacific the only place in history that a US Army General was
removed from commnading USA units and a Marine General put in charge?
As on Siapan when Holland M. Smith USMC relieved Ralph Smith USA as
commander of the division (27th I believe).
Not to offend my fellow vets of the USA, but they won Europe, but the
Marines won the pacific.

I love the history channel, but I know that some of their "historians and
experts" are not truly qualified.

Manditory MV comment: the show on the Jeep sounds great.

Tonight on the History Channel!!
8pm Central
9:00PM - 10:00PM
Battle History of the U.S. Army
    Soldiers across the Sea
Beginning in World War II, we see how the U.S. Army turned
the tide in Europe and the Pacific against both Germany and Japan, and how
the tragic demolition of the great fighting machine during demobilization
at war's end found the Army fighting for its life against a surprise attack
in Korea and an Asian Dunkirk! TV G

9pm Central
10:00PM - 11:00PM
                Big Rigs of Combat: Jeeps

Looks at the American soldier's best friend in WWII--the
Jeep. A "Blitz Buggy" could serve as a combat car, a snowplow, or
ambulance! Its name derived from the designation "General Purpose", and the
original design served as late as 1983 in Grenada before being replaced by
the High Mobility Multi-Wheeled Vehicle (HUMVEE). TV G

Enjoy
Jess
