One can find Humber Pigs with the same turret (very close to same in
some cases) as you find on the Ferrets and Saracens. Its a one man
.30 caliber mount for either an FN-Mag or M1919 in 30.06. The Humbers
have 4 wheel drive with a manual (5 speed I think) transmission and
the same engine as in the ferret, a Rolls Royce B60 engine. They are
of course right hand drive. Some have some additional armor (Kremlin
updates iirc). Military Machines Magazine in the UK has had a pair of
issues (most recent) about them and the variants. Some were kited out
with water cannons (aptly named the Squirt Pig).
They are serious looking vehicles but do handle like pigs due to the
armor. The front barrier ram bumper thingy is of course horrid to
anything you bump into. It seems to be in some cases the ultimate
Anti-SUV where as the Ferret is what I call the Anti-Volvo.
There is also a Land Rover (Series III iirc) that is armored in a
similar manner called the Piglet.
