Advice based on actual experiences....
Disconnect linkage on underside of accelerator pedal. Will pedal now move freely?
If not, apply large amounts of wd-40 to hinge.
(I had one seize suddenly on me, unfortunately in the full-throttle position)
Is the in tank fuel pump running? If not, many trucks will start and run fine, but seem to run out of fuel as they near full-load conditions.
Check fuel filters.
