I posted a few weeks ago asking about insurance for MV's. I contacted a
couple of the agencies however they generally want it garaged, and further
posts indicated they are more picky than the DMV/CHP about how often and
where you drive the vehicle.
While working on the truck today I found a State Farm insurance card,
policy period 1998. The 'Make' showed 'How Tank' instead of REO or
something relevant to the manufacturing of the truck. I called my agent
and she put that in as the make...
They offered me a policy with 100/300 limits,$50 Comp and $100 Collision
deductibles for $78/6 months. No garaging clause, tho limited to 1000 miles
per year at this time. True they need an Odometer statement and the truck
has two odometers, but ... <g>
If anyone is looking for coverage you might find out what 'How' means <
?? > .. the 'Tank' reference probably refers to the water tank and pump /
fire truck apparatus it carries. Then call your friendly State Farm agent.
