Sheer pin and oil

Thank goodness for sheer pins !!!

Hi list, I need a sheer pin for a 10,000 pounds winch on an M35A2. A few
will be nice. Also, since I don't use this thing on regular basis, what oil
should I put in it. The side where the clutch lever is seems to be low or
dry.

I was pulling out a dead root out of the ground, which went real nice. Upon
putting things back together, when I rolled the cable in, threaded it
through the knuckle and hooked it to the second one like it should be, I
wanted to roll it in a little more so it wouldn't be so loose, I shifted the
clutch in, and when I tried to shift the clutch out it didn't want to go
out. It pulled the cable and chain and everything in while I ran around to
shift the lever in the cab and when it was tight enough it sheered the pin.
I couldn't do a thing to loosen it and had to take out the top guard and the
side guard just to get it a little loose to shift it out.

David, what was I doing wrong? When there is no weight on the cable the
shifter goes in and out pretty easy most of the time, but the minute there
is just a little pull, forget shifting it out. Is it because the oil is low
(or gone) on that side? What is the proper (if there is such a thing) to
roll the cable back in and have it tight enough that it doesn't get ugly.

Anyway, who has the pins, and how much, and where do I send my money :-)
????
