Just a question about the use of aluminum in military vehicles.
What was the consensus on how it faired in combat uposed to sheet steel?

also if you can take a pict. of the goat with the polished finish.

Subject: [MV] Gama Goat front steering box

Hi list,
I just rescued a Gama Goat from the clutches of some KC Chiefs fans that
had it clowned up as a fan vehicle. Good news is that its all easy to undo
and I plan to return the goat to the four color camo glory it deserves. They
had removed the paint and polished the aluminum body(actually kind of cool
looking) and put sponsers adds all over it. It will be an easy job of prep
for new paint and the body, engine and drive train are in great shape!!!
It does have the usual problem that many goats have, the front steering box
is in bad shape.
I have checked all the usual venders and there is no problem buying a nos
Steering box, just thought I would ask the list if any of you fine folks has
one that they would want to sell before giving my money to the professional
surplus dealers?
I will be posting the full story of the Goats restoration with photos on my
website, begining this evening.
Thanks for all past, present and future help!
