On my flat on my M109A3 in Tennnessee it turnedout to be that when they
shipped the new tire in to the Army they included a rubber flap as a rim
protecotor. The tire installer did not remove this new one and instead
installed the new tube right in over it. It didn't go flat till about
300 miles later.
Might be same case as yours.
