Steering Assy "oil or grease"?

This may be a stupid question, but that is par for me. I adjusted the screw on top of my steering
assy of my M151A2, (I' sorry I don't remember who on the list told me to do that to fix the steering
from wandering. IT WORKED GREAT!!!) when I removed the cap on the assy, I noticed the inside was
rusted and smelled like burned oil or grease. My question is do I fill the assy with oil or gear
grease, what weight, etc?
