You are putting drive train at risk -- very easy to break axles doing this,
also drive shafts. The trucks will try to jump up and down when put in hard
strain like this and the jerking from this is what can cause damage. Not to
mention clutch and related items. I would respectfuly suggest if you do
decided to do this that you get the ground prepared by having it plowed up
then smothed down, this will give the trucks something to spin in that will
have some give to it. As opposed to hard surface that will not give.

I took my 5 ton bridge transport truck to farm tractor pull, the truck
perfomed most excellent; pulled sled all the way through the course that the
big tractors had not been able to do. Never spun a tire and really never
strained. The 602 cu. inch engine coupled to transmission in low range first
gear did an excellent job of showing what real power applied to ground can
do.
