i don't suppose it was the tires spinning?? when the engine is cold
remove the air intake to the turbo and see how much play is in the
shaft. there should be no end to end movement. side play should be such
that you can feel it but not see it move. if it is really bad you can
hold the shaft to the side and turn it and feel it rub.
