CCKW TX case..nut removed, also 270 engine question

The idler shaft nut is removed, what I did is lock a pair of 2" nuts very
tightly together on the thread at the other end of the shaft,thereby giving
me
something to prevent the shaft turning, then Oxy to heat the one i wanted
off,
it worked..I have used this method to remove studs when u want to preserve
the thread.

Does the 270 GMC engine have cylinder bore sleeves?...they are not pictured
in the parts book, but my spare engine seems to have them, they also seem to
be available as a part
