A friend approached me with a question regarding the problem of shear pin
breakage on his M35. I was unable to help him over the phone so we checked
it out on a pull. Much to my surprise, he was unaware that his winch had a
low speed and was trying to pull everything under the sun in high range. A
switch to low and a snatch block cured all of his broken shear pin problems.
