Hey all,
I've seen allot of the bolster trailers up on the GL site and hope to get my
hands on one soon. But in the mean time, I've just been able to page through
the manual and look at the pictures (Sad, isn't it?) The manual states the
primary purpose of this trailer is the transportation of invasion pipe. Now
I think I remember this coming up before in the past but I can't find it in
the archives. Just what exactly is "invasion pipe" and what was it used for?
I found references to sizes from four to six inches diameter at the standard
length of 21 ft. and the trailer is designed to carry 41 lengths at a time.
Also, the manual talks about pipe "retaining" kits, which look like large
plates that go at either end of the bundle of pipes and help keep them
together on the trailer. Are these kits available on the market? Anyone have
personal experience with this equipment?
