...and Bill Mauldin answered one last time. He passed away after a fight
with Alzheimer's disease. If you haven't ever gotten to see Willie and Joe
or the book "Up Front," get a copy and read it. It is one of the best
depictions of combat life in Europe during WWII and is done with a
sensitivity and humor that will be missed.
