M-1009 fuel pump

Julian, if the electrical fuel pump is energized while the wait light is on
it will pressurize the fuel line enough for the diesel to reach the injector
pump before engaging the starter, thus reducing the cranking time. At least
thats what I think!! This is assuming the injector pump is working fine. I
am positive about the glow plug system doing its job so it is out of the
equation. A list member, ( Stu Ellis), recomended a while back changing
the fuel filter pressure switch, but replacing the fuel pump for an electric
one may do the trick. Does this makes sense?
