I've regularly towed 10,000 GVW, with my M1009 and M1008.
Haven't gotten around to electric brake setup, though the
trailer has them. No oil cooler. A main thing to be sure of
is the tires on the towing vehicle. Gotta be tough, hard,
plenty of sidewall strength. My M1009 gives me a whole lot
better mpg than my civvy Blazer with a 5.7 gas V-8. I never
xheck mpg, so I can't say what I'm getting. I'd estimate 13
with the civvy and 19 on the M1009. M1008 is not good. 3/4
tank on a 125 mile round trip last night.
