Re: [MV] Removing duece lug nuts

The "lug socket" that I use is about 18 inches long. To maximize the force
transferred to the lug nut I place a support under the far end of the lug
socket so that it is kept level when turning force is applied to the lever,
if not it will tend to slip off the lug nut. An adjustable support can be
made from a pipe bar clamp. The lever is about 24 inches long and the weight
of a 200 lb man will torque the nuts about right.
To remove very stubborn lug nuts I have used a 10 lb sledge hammer on the
lever. It may not be recommended, but works (just keep the free end of the
lug socket supported, so that the set-up is solid).
