First trip for the new (to me) 57mm AT gun

I took it for a ride today behind the deuce. It towed well with 30 psi in
the 9:00x16
tires (I know these are too big, suppose to be 7.50X16)

The hitch is a problem. I modified it so that it would stay in the
orientation that I think
is correct for the truck. The orginal anti-rotation stop pin is made from
brass! 1st time
it tried to rotate, took a chunk of brass right off! I have a hardened steel
bolt in there
right now

It was like March 1944 at the Pembroke Ordnance Depot (POD) today. Mud about
8" deep with the perma-frost under and 60 degrees outside! Running the crane
deuce,
cargo deuce, dump truck and trying to drag the gun with the crane made quite
a mess!
