FYI, Arthur C. Kyle is alive and well and living in the marina district in SF.
Everytime I go out there, I look him up and his wife cooks me dinner and his
kids draw me pictures, etc. He's a great guy. He's just swamped, so he doesn't
moderate the list anymore, as he used to way back when.
As far as going on vacation, and getting your inbox swamped, I highly suggest
switching to the digest version of the mailing list. Then, you will get 1 or
2 emails a day, instead of 50 or 80. Then, when you go on vacation for a week
and come back, you'll have 7-14 emails when you return instead of 800. Alternately,
you can unsubscribe from the list and resubscribe when you return. I've done
this myself, and it's fairly straightforward. Just go to the website
www.mil-veh.org,and follow the directions there.
Having said that, if anyone wants his contact information (home phone, cell phone,
etc.), contact me offline and I'll gladly go dig it up.
