M37 (101) Update

The 1953 M37 that the kids have been working on at the Floyd County High
School here in the Southwestern Virginia since the beginning of this
semester, has brought more attention than any other project they have ever
had over the years, according to Kenny Wurtzburger, the instructor. They now
want another one...
The local news paper, Floyd Press, will probably do a story on it and there
is talk about entering it in the Veteran's Day and Christmas parades.
Everybody is amazed over the availability of parts and such things as
manuals on CD.

I have a couple of questions for this board:
First, the next M37 should be in a condition that will permit accurate
restoration, perhaps a vehicle from the '60s.

1) Does anybody on the list have one for sale within 100-200 miles of the
Roanoke, VA area (Floyd/Meadows of Dan is about 50 miles West of Roanoke)?

2)Price range: No more than $2,000.

3)Is it customary for sponsors of a parade vehicle to contribute funds?

Any suggestion on how to organize this kind of thing is welcome.

Thanks in advance for any input.
