wow.. I just thought of a perfect use for MRE's, how to keep the lines profitable, and fix the welfare problem.

Stop issuing food stamps. Issue MRE stamps. A day's ration would get you 6 entre's per day (that's how many I eat) or
three 'complete' meals per day. With the removal of the 'entitled' recipient's ability to sit idle, eat steaks, and waste
my money on whatever THEY choose, I bet alot of section-8'ers would be looking for work after a week or so!
