fording question

i'm no expert. all i know is that i LOVE to drive my deuce. it is god's
gift to trucks.

i've got a question though. i've got the full fording kit, and i never was
able to figure out what the pneumo-switch to put it into "fording mode"
actually does. what is that? i though it was as simple as don't suck water
into the intake.
