Interest post. Just a couple of points:

I suspect that a pulse, rather than CW (continuous wave) would be better for
disrupting computers at short range. Think static zapping.

For boom boxes, there is an much easier way, if they are listening to a radio.
It requires very little power (100 milliwatts or less) to wipe out radios within
50 feet. Years ago, I had a very noisy neighbor n the next apartment who would
play very loud music and wake me on Sunday mornings. I took an electronic siren,
hooked it to an RF generator and small RF amp and set the modulation for wide
band FM and let him have it. The wide band made the signal VERY loud. His
speakers and amp died that morning, never to be replaced from what I gather. Hs
ears must have been pretty sore too. Mine were, through the wall. It was a LONG
time ago.
