We just got rid of 2 of them to DRMO in New Orleans. We used them as
garrison vehicles.

We had them, but they were few and far between. Real Marines ride in real
tactical vehicles. Army dogs rode in Blazers.
I do see that the El Toro base has a designated HMWV/CUCV REPAIR SECTION on
their T/O
If you dig around you will see them as assets at Camp Pendleton and others.
So the answer is YES, but we always considered them Army Vehicles.

Semper Fi,
Bill

Speaking of CUCV, they were suppose to by replaced by COMBATT (commercial
light tactical vehicle) anyone ever know what happened to that, think they
were Ford f350s or Dodge 3500s...

Subject: [MV] USMC and CUCV's?

Can anybody tell me if the USMC utilized the M1009 CUCV?

If so (I sure hope so!), are there any web pages or other sources of
photographs?

Also, if so, did they use them in the desert?

Many thanks!
