mismatched tires

Tire scrubbing "scuffing" takes a lot of rubber off tires, This past
Fri.while on my way to a rally the Ark chapter MVPA was holding in Ark., I
had occasion to sit on parking lot of a large truck stop for a few hours
parked in front of a friend (who was also on way to rally) of mine's trailer
to keep someone else from hooking to it and driving away with it and his M56
wrecker that was loaded on it. I did not have any vehicles on either trailer
but felt it was only proper to assist any way I could.

I parked there while he went with his tractor to rescue another fellow who
was hauling some vehicles to the rally, and rear ended a truck in Memphis,
disabling his tractor.

Anyhow while I was waiting I noticed black tire rubber blowing around on
parking lot like snow, It had collected in the gutters in places 1/4" deep.
This is not from mismatched tires especially just normal wear; if tires are
mismatched I am sure it is much worse

By the way -- The Arkansas chapter did a great job with show - had lots of
vehicles there from 5 states I saw, could have been others. Rally was at
Petit Jean state park.
