[MV] 1942 GPW bodywork info needed

I'm working on my hood and have found two patches of lead near the front
edge. Someone had cut a slot in the hood for a padlock. It looks like
there may have been a hat channel or something here (I have a picture).
Can anyone send me a shot of the underside of the hood so I can make
sure I'm not missing something?
