Actually, the electric companies are really looking forward to using
hydrogen (H) as a primary fuel and in fuel cells. It'll be a bonanza
for the electric utilities.

Yes, H is the most plentiful element in the universe. And it's
also the least likely to exist in its free or native state. It
combines readily with many other elements to form everything from
water to magma. It takes a lot of energy to separate H from its
compounds...a LOT of energy, that will gleefully be provided by
the electric utilities.

H is also incredibly difficult to store in its native form...as a gas
or as a liquid. Its atoms are so small that they happily migrate
through the material of just about any material used to make a
container.

Yes, folks, the electric utilities are gleefully anticipating a world
where H is a primary fuel. They'll make a bundle!!!!!

H can be provided in loosely bond compounds like natural gas, propane,
etc., which can also power fuel cells. It'll be interesting to see where
it goes.

Now, if you'll excuse me for a few minutes, I have to replace the fuel rods
in the reactors that power my truck and my home. <G>
