One of our club members is trying to locate a spiral gear for the oil pump
on an M-715. He has had several of the steel gears and has shelled them all
out. He is asking for an original gear which was evidently made of a bronze
like material.
Can anybody with more experience throw any light on this? Why he might be
killing the gears and if there are gears of different materials out there?
Also a source for the part.
Any help would be greatly appreciated by Richard, the member in trouble.
