hi Pete,

Military tires are ok in loose snow, but are exceptionally toboggan-like on packed snow or ice. I use V-bar chains on all the tires. (It takes about 5 hours to put all the chains on.) also, I put about 3 tons of stone on the cargo bed. My plow is 10 ft wide and very heavy. I can push 2 ft of snow straight ahead, uphill, without stopping or spinning the wheels significantly (pushing a pile about the size of a mini-van). It takes about 5 minutes to finish plowing a 600 ft driveway with 4 of those minutes spent trying to turn the truck around.
