since europe is very small by comparison to the US, you could probably
visit most of the fortifications that made up the maginot(sp) line. I've
heard a few stories from people who have visited that there is a website
out there that details ways to get into the fortifications, and include
photo tours and the like. Apparently most of them are still in
surprisingly good condition despite 50+ years of neglect. I'll see if I
can find the website. and if so e-mail it to the list so you all can
enjoy.
