Yes you can but the non swelling plugs are very expensive. Around
150.00 for set of 8. Other than that it's a good idea. I have been
considering the same thing on a M1009. Much cheaper is to pick up a set
of 12v AC60G non swelling temp compensated plugs and keep the resistor.
50.00 for set of 8 on ebay all the time.

Any one ever try Humvee glow plugs in a CUCV? I thought I could by-pass
the
balast resistor and use non-swelling HMMWV plugs. Opinions?
